I’ve been trying to come up with something that would make it easier for me to post more frequently, especially on Friday when I’m usually out the door and hopefully off to a relaxing respite somewhere. The answer came when I was thumbing through old House and Garden magazines from the 80’s and rediscovered ads that still have the same impression of great style all these years later. One of the older examples is this ad for Rose Cumming found in a 1983 issue. All the style of the grand dame of traditional eclectic glamour is present in this photo. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could beam ourselves back in time to her eponymous shop? I hope this series, as long as it lasts, brings back memories of favorite rooms and images for you as well.
